The statistical database contains information on prescribed drugs filled at pharmacies between 2006‑2023. Over-the-counter medicines or drugs administered directly to the patient in, e.g. hospital settings, are not included.
Things to consider when interpreting these statistics
The statistical database for pharmaceuticals now also contains monthly data. Due to confidentiality reasons the monthly data cannot be divided by age and region at the same time. The database will from now on be updated every month.
